Breaking Bad News
For Intelligent Life Magazine 2011
My first job for one of my favourite clients and still one of my favourite jobs.
Graham and I discussed ideas about how to illustrate the theme, breaking bad news, such as the death or serious illness, to the next of kin. The article looks at procedure now used by doctors, police and the armed forces.
We decided the most powerful images would be produced by showing the point of view of those delivering the bad news, and therefore looking into the eyes of those receiving it, just as they realise what is being said.
